The Parent Information Center is most commonly referred to as the "PIC".
PIC Purpose Statement: To provide Katy ISD parents and community members access to the latest news and information from Katy ISD.
PIC System Description: The PIC is a web-based system created for Katy ISD parents and community members to access district news and information, their child’s grades, their child’s meal account and district calendars.
The PIC can be run from every Katy ISD location, via the Intranet and from any home PC, via the Internet; however, built-in security enables that certain PIC features are limited only to users who have students attending Katy ISD and those users are required to use the PIN# they obtained from their student’s campus to access those features. This manual explains the different aspects of PIC and provides easy instructional information.

For the optimal user experience, please refer to the following list of system requirements for running the PIC.

Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. While the system may still run on Firefox, Netscape, Safari, etc. technical support for these systems is not provided by Katy Independent School District.

Latest Version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

All pop-up blocking software must be disabled.

Do NOT bookmark PIC pages. Bookmarked pages will not open.
Logging In to the PIC:
Users can access the PIC by going to the Katy ISD website at http://www.katyisd.org and clicking on the Parent Information Center link, from your Internet Explorer address line by typing in: http://pic.katyisd.org, and users accessing the PIC on a campus PC can simply type in PIC.
